Dr. William Thetford, DPM, AACFAS
Dr. William Thetford is a board-certified podiatric surgeon by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and double-board eligible in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Union University in Jackson, TN, Master of Science in Acute Care Nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and then continued to receive another Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Barry University in Miami, FL. He completed a surgical residency at the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan where he practiced podiatric medicine and surgery in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. For the past two years, Dr. Thetford has worked with Dr. Torregrosa to provide comprehensive care to the South Florida community with foot and ankle treatment options.
Dr. William Thetford is a respected name in the podiatry industry. He graduated from Barry University as valedictorian of his class and was Chief Resident during his residency at the Detroit Medical Center. He often attends research and presentations all over the United States to discuss best podiatry practices and is licensed to practice podiatry in Florida, Tennessee and North Carolina. He holds titles in the North Carolina Foot & Ankle Society (NCFAS), American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ACFAS) where he is board-certified. Dr. Thetford has earned over 125 Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits from the NC Foot & Ankle Society and plans to accomplish more as he advances his career as a Foot & Ankle Surgeon.
